Chibuku 2015 Continues to Gather Momentum

by on October 15, 2015

Arguably Liverpool’s finest dance night, Chibuku, recently announced its line-up for the 2015 season, much to the delight of revellers and ravers alike in the north west. With such acts as Preditah, Oneman and Skepta already confirmed, the latest batch of confirmed acts has made this year’s programme one of the most mouth-watering in recent memory.

This year’s itinerary has been underway for nearly a month now and has been gathering real momentum on Merseyside.

giorgio moroder

Perhaps the most exciting is that of Daft Punk collaborator and disco legend, Giorgio Moroder. With such titles as composer, producer, songwriter and of course DJ in his repertoire; this will surely be a rather special event. Tickets are bound to be at a premium to see one of the planet’s most revered mechanical, melodic masterminds.

Saturday 17th October – Chibuku @ Camp & Furnace

The next instalment is this weekend and holds no prisoners with Bonobo and David ‘Ram Jam’ Rodigan going head to head. But that is by no means all as the evening at Liverpool’s ever popular Camp & Furnace venue also sees the curation of the likes of EZ, Marcel Dettman, Scuba, Leon Vynehall, Bicep and Paul Woolford’s Special Request. Two rooms of splendid vibes and some of the finest contemporary electronic wizardry await all who are lucky enough to addend.

Going forward into the winter, Chibuku will be offering Dusky and the soul and shake of Seven Davis Jnr take over Chibuku’s home the Arts Club alongside Moxie and a plethora of artists still to be announced.

Four Tet

Electronic royalty Four Tet is also adding his touch to proceedings and his recent reworking of Chvrches has already notched up almost a 300k play. Kieran Hebden plays all night for a special show at the Kazimier, one not to be missed.

Another all-nighter in the form of Midland pops its head up the following week at Shipping Forecast whilst later in the season will see Amsterdam’s San Proper and Gerd Janson step up to the mark. The same night Mano Le Tough takeover the Theatre alongside rising stars Lewis Boardman and Felix Dickinson.

Rave Season Up North

With Warehouse Project gathering serious pace in Manchester and this spectacular Chibuku line up taking shape in Liverpool, it really is a winter to remember in the north as far as the dance scene is concerned, be sure to keep an eye on The Debutant for all the write ups, reviews and updates you need
